O...M...Josh?

So this is kind of random, my bro josh sent me these photos and said "work your magic". Oh and did I ever (sarcasm). I  don't know who shot these photos, so sorry I don't know who to give the credit to. They remind me of the intro to a soap opera or maybe a vodka advertisement. Do they speak to you? Can you hear it? what are they saying? Enjoy!

October?

Is it october?  It's easy to forget when your reaching for a bottle of sunblock. Anyways, some of the family was in town this week end so we headed down to the beach for an afternoon.  It was a fun day! I don't usually take  camera to the beach but I decided to snap a few shots. So here are a few of them. What you think?

Mustang!

So, my father in-law is a pilot and has built his own plane, the mustang II. And not like from a kit, but from plans. So not only did he build the plane but all the parts were manufactured from the plans. Pretty crazy. Anyways I wanted to try photographing something like a car or plane, something a little larger than I have done before. I know this skill could come in handy as there are quite a few pilots in the area that either own or own/built their own air planes. I want to learn how to photograph something that can convey the pride and accomplishment these guys must have in building their own aircraft. This is my first attempt, but I think I will get better each with each vehicle I photograph. There also are some shots from my iphone while we were flying around this afternoon. Cheers!

Snowboard video!

So I had the privilege of working on a snowboard video this past winter. It was a great time traveling all over the country with some really rad people. I even have some shred clips in the film, you can catch me throwin a backflip in the trailer. I'm stoked! The video is due out pretty soon so here is a trailer to enjoy until then. Cheers!

We moved to Alabama!

So, my first blog on my new site, where to start! Well, Kate (my wife) and I decided to move to Alabama where her family is. But before making our way down here we took a slight detour (see map). We had a great time seeing new places and old friends, thanks friends! Now we are settling in down in the deep south and excited for new opportunities. So needless to say I haven't been taking very many photos, but I do have some shoots already lined up for the future so I will have those up soon! This transitional period was a good opportunity for me to get a simple website built and all networked out!
So hey, become a fan of the facebook page and tell me what you think of everything! Thanks!

Luke.
